Independence Pass, Colorado

If you know you know. This drive. This sign. The feeling of driving up the pass or arriving in Aspen, or maybe leaving and having it be another little wink until next time. The colors, the road, the mountains, the view. The continental divide.

This is a sign that brings such a visceral feeling of coming home to me, as it’s where I grew up. This was a marker of the best road trips and engraved happy memories. It still is. A simple photograph, but with deep meaning.
